Raisin Nut Spice Cookies

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup shortening
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup MUSSELMAN’S® Apple Butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ cup peanuts or walnuts, chopped
  • ½ cup raisins

Directions

  1. Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease cookie sheets.

  2. Step 2
    In a large bowl with a mixer, cream butter, shortening, and sugar; add apple butter and egg. Mix well. 

  3. Step 3
    In a medium bowl stir together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Combine into the apple butter mixture with the mixer. By hand stir in the chopped nuts and raisins. 

  4. Step 4
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet, then press down lightly. Bake for 10-11 minutes or until brown on the edges.
