Apple Butter Walnut Syrup



  • Serves: 4

Ingredients:


  • 1/4 cup toasted walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup MUSSELMAN’S® Apple Butter
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice

Directions:


  1. Toast walnuts in a small skillet over low heat, shaking pan occasionally, until fragrant and slightly darker in color, about 5 minutes. Set aside.

  2. In a separate, small saucepan, bring Apple Butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, and 1/4 cup of water to simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer to blend flavors, just a couple of minutes.
  3. Stir in lemon juice and nuts. Serve warm.
