This bread, made with Musselman’s Apple Pie Filling and Musselman’s Apple Sauce, makes a great housewarming or holiday gift. Share some kindness and make a few mini loaves.
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 8x4x2-inch loaf pans.
Step 2
In a large bowl combine baking mix, flour, and apple pie spice.
Step 3
In another large bowl combine eggs, apple pie filling, apple sauce, 1/2-cup of the brown sugar and oil. Add to flour mixture. Stir just until moistened.
Step 4
Divide batter evenly between prepared pans. Top each loaf with remaining brown sugar and walnuts.
Step 5
Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 6
Cool in pans on wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely on wire rack. Wrap and store overnight for easier slicing.
I love this recipe because it’s moist, and very delicious. I love to bake recipes that’s as easy and simple as these.
I have used your pie filling. It is so easy.
Will be making your Apple Streusel Bread. I love anything with applesauce.
I want to use this recipe for mini loaves, and use Splenda brown sugar to reduce the carbs a little. Also, do you make a reduced sugar apple pie filling, or apple butter?
Hi Tracy,
We don’t make a reduced sugar apple butter, but out sister company, Lucky Leaf, makes a LITE Apple Pie Filling: https://www.luckyleaf.com/product/lite-no-sugar-added-apple-fruit-filling-or-topping/
Oops, forgot my most important question: how long to bake the mini loaves?
Hi Tracy,
Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
