These will be the new party favorite. Sweet Musselman’s Apple Butter and spices make the pulled chicken moist and flavorful.
Step 1
Combine apple butter, minced onion, soy sauce, garlic, honey and five spice seasoning in a medium-sized slow cooker. Mix well.
Step 2
Add the chicken breasts, turning so they are coated in the sauce.
Step 3
Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.
Step 4
Use the back of a wooden spoon to gently shred the cooked chicken. Stir so that the chicken is evenly coated in the sauce.
Step 5
Set the cooker on warm and let the chicken stand for 15 minutes to soak up the sauce.
Step 6
Serve the pulled chicken on the rolls. Top with pickled jalapenos and chopped green onions.
