Whether it’s your family’s long-standing New Year’s Day tradition, or just a favorite winter comfort food, Pork and Sauerkraut is always better with a sliced apple and a cup of Musselman’s Apple Juice.
Step 1
In large saucepan, saute onion and green pepper in 1/4 cup butter until tender. Set aside in a bowl.
Step 2
In the pan saute the pork until browned on all sides.
Step 3
Stir in onions, peppers, sauerkraut, apple juice, salt, pepper, and caraway seed. Simmer, covered, 1 hour.
Step 4
Add apples and simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes or until meat is tender.
Step 5
Toss cooked noodles with the remaining butter; add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 6
Serve pork mixture over noodles.
